Pizza Bella, Crouch End
Pizza Bella in Crouch End has had a makeover, and is looking good! Swanky new black signage; a brand new pizza counter where you can watch the chef working away; smart log-effect decor around the bar area and some rather funky new lighting have given this place a fresh contemporary feel . They've sensibly kept the best bits, including 'Bella' the rather gorgeous statue who stands in the centre of the restaurant, and smartened up the rest.
The menu is pretty much as before and tasty as ever ...choose from a range of pastas, chicken dishes, steaks, sandwiches and of course pizzas. Service is friendly and swift, making it a nice stop-off spot during a lunch hour, and children are very much welcomed.
The restaurant has recently adopted the 'Stampfeet' loyalty system. I'd not seen this before but was really impressed by how easy it is to use. Stampfeet is a new London-wide digital loyalty card system which lets you collect stamps and get rewards from shops, restaurants , bars and cafes - far better than carrying around yet another plastic loyalty card in your purse or wallet!
You simply download the free Stampfeet app onto your phone, and ask staff to type the Pizza Bella code in at the end of your meal. That's it ...easy as (pizza) pie!
Once you've got four stamps you get a free pizza at the restaurant. Staff are good at reminding you to get your 'stamp', and it would be great to see more local shops and restaurants taking up the scheme.
